''Mail Today'' is a daily tabloid sized newspaper covering politics, entertainment, cinema, automobiles, fashion and lifestyle stories. It was established in November 2007,〔(Thomas Jacob on Mail Today’s launch into India’s booming newspaper market )〕 published by the India Today Group in a joint venture with British newspaper ''Daily Mail''〔(India Today group to launch tabloid in partnership with Daily Mail ) Live Mint, November 13, 2007.〕 (which is part of the Associated Newspapers Group). Associated Newspapers holds a 26% stake which it bought at 180 million.〔(Mail Today among Rs 211.66-cr FDI plans cleared ) ''The Hindu'', Business Line, November 3, 2007.〕 The paper has two editions published from Delhi and Chandigarh. Its estimated readership (2010) is approx 0.5 million. Since its inception, when it was edited by Bharat Bhushan from 2007 to December 2011, the paper has taken on the Establishment as well as questioned the Opposition. While the paper has most of its readers in the Capital, it has an emerging online presence. It has stories from across the nation, and its international content — entertainment, world issues, and human interest stories — mainly comes from its partner Daily Mail, along with global news agencies and foreign contributors.
